In a word Outstanding - service, product, personnel and price. We made signs for our gates so people wouldn't open them if our dogs are out in the backyard. Our signs were ready in just a few days and for most people the signs are working thanks to Signs Plus!

Custom Sign Painter Pay Scale is $22 - $28 per hour DOE Signs Plus – Bellingham’s leading sign designer, fabricator and installer for more than 32 years is growing and expanding its manufacturing support team. We are looking to add a position in our paint & finishing department. Attention all artistically inclined folks that like to work with their hands. We are looking for you! Don’t worry if you have never worked in a sign shop before. We will train the right candidate to be successful in this role. Just bring your passion and desire to learn and we will take it from there. Signs Plus painters & finishers apply high tech coatings to our manufactured products. You will be starting in a support role within our paint shop making sure all of our products are paint ready. This starts by mechanically abrading the surface of aluminum & steel, cleaning, masking and prepping plastics among a wide range of materials and making sure all of our products are paint ready. There will be opportunities to apply our state of the art acrylic polyurethane primers, color & clear coats as well. This roll will begin as a support position but this is a huge opportunity to work into a lead role as Signs Plus is a fast growing company! Additional tasks; - Organizing and preparing batches with similar type finishes - Reading & following shop drawings - Applying artistic & faux finishes - Learning our paint mixing technology - Keeping materials organized throughout the entire paint process - Tag & label all components of a project to ensure all the parts are coated together & properly & do not get misplaced - Sanding and finishing materials based on their recommended preparation guidelines - Hanging, racking & batching parts to be coated - Quality control All levels of experience are welcome to apply. We will train the right candidate. Valid Washington State drivers license required with a clear enough record to be insurable. The final product of the sign we donated to @growingveterans! Growing Veterans was founded by a combat wounded USMC veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, Christopher Brown, and a former mental health counselor turned farmer, Christina Wolf. Together, they agreed using their farm as the catalyst for human connection and veteran reintegration could have a powerful impact on the health and well being of not only vets returning home, but the world. We donated this sign, and they teamed up with a local boy scout who took it upon himself to fundraise materials for the project, and install the sign on their land. What an amazing message from @growingveterans to bring awareness to their presence in the community. Thank you for what you do for our veterans and the community!
