Art and architecture make up the visual landscape of the surrounding environment. When done properly signage can be a combination of both art and architecture. Aesthetically pleasing signs use artistic elements as well fundamentals of architecture.

Playing with Shapes

Incorporating existing building shapes and environmental elements into signs can make them feel that they belong to that area. Conversely, they can work in contrast to those existing elements to bring more punch to the sign or vice-versa.
